The Hot Springs Area Alumnae Chapter Economic Development Committee invites sorors to help promote our upcoming Black Business Expo on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 10:00 AM–6:00 PM at the Garrison Center on the campus of Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, AR!
We encourage all sorors to share this opportunity with Black-owned businesses, churches, food trucks, and organizations, post the flyer on your social media platforms, and invite entrepreneurs to complete the interest form by scanning the QR code. Be on the lookout for this event on our HSAAC Facebook page and help us expand our reach by sharing.

Hosted by the Hot Springs Area Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., this was a FREE and impactful webinar will address most urgent issues in our community—suicide awareness and prevention among Black and African Americans.
Why This Matters:
Suicide is the third leading cause of death among Black youth, and the rates of suicide among Black men and women have risen sharply over the last decade. Cultural stigma, lack of access to mental health resources, and silent suffering have made it harder for many in our communities to seek help.
During this informative session, we’ll explore:
✅ The prevalence of suicide in Black and African American communities
✅ How to recognize the warning signs of self-harm or suicidal thoughts
✅ Practical ways to support loved ones who may be struggling
✅ Tools and resources to help break the silence and stigma around mental health
Featured Speaker:
We are honored to welcome Ms. Kionti Traylor, Program Manager of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention – Arkansas, who will guide this critical conversation with expertise and compassion.
